Great news! I won the western regional round for the Mountain NewSong contest last night! Had a wonderful time meeting new friends and hearing good music. I will move onto the national round held on Oct. 11 in Charleston, West Viriginia! Cannot wait. :)

Baby June, Colorado, and Mountain NewSong Contest!

Baby June arrived in April this year, she will be hitting the road as my new roadie for my shows in Colorado these next few weeks. This little tour ends with playing the Rocky Mtn Folks Fest Main Stage on Sat. aug 16, the festival lineup this year is incredible... check it out at www.bluegrass.com In other news, I just got into the Mountain Stage NewSong Contest to be held in Los Angeles Sept 2! Seattle and a New Life...

I've moved to Seattle this year which has been wonderful! Love it here, all the water, green, and beautiful people. I have slowed down a bit from playing out due to the fact I am having a baby in just a few weeks! So, afraid the break from gigs will continue for a bit...I will be doing a series of shows in UT and CO in August, ending with playing the main stage of the Folks Fest with my band...hope to see you all then!

I've dreamed of playing on the Folks Fest stage for years, and it really is as beautiful as it seemed. The sound system was incredible, artists were really wonderful....and I actually WON! I played "Never Close Enough" and a new song "Get Caught." I will be playing the main stage next year. A dream realized. Thank you friends for helping me get there.

My favorite festival, my favorite stage...I've been chosen one of ten finalists out of 675 entrants! Takes place on sat. 11:45am on the main stage of the Folks Fest in Lyons CO! Some of my dearest friends and songwriters are in as well...check out the finalists and honorable mentions at Bluegrass.com. The lineup at the fest is amazing: Ray Lamontagne, Gillian Welch, Judy Collins, Brett Dennen and more....tempting eh?

I will be flying to Austin to play at the Cactus Cafe for the Mountain NewSong Contest on Thurs. July 12th! I just found out that my song "Noah" received an honorable mention in the Woody Guthrie Songwriting Competition. Wahooooooo!

Founders Folk & Bluegrass Festival Showcase Finalist!

I have been chosen as one of ten finalists to perform in the KRCL Songwriters Showcase at the Founders Folk & Bluegrass Festival this year. The contest starts at 12:30pm Sat. July 14 on the main stage, held at Snowbird! Come on out music birds...there is a great lineup this year!

Tucson Folk Festival!

Exciting News.. I've been accepted to perform at the Tucson Folk Festival! I will performing in the Song Contest Sat. May 5th, and on the Tucson Museum of Art stage at 2:30pm on May 6th! Any Friends in AZ?

Hello friends, my brand shiny new CD, "Never Close Enough" is now available! Wahoo. I hope you enjoy it as much as I loved making it! The official CD release show is April 18th in Logan UT in the new Performance Hall Theater. I will see you there!

I have added new pictures including some from my life, my friends, recording, and playing live. Also, I added a "links" page to the website containing artists that I think you should hear. This list is just the beginning and contains musicians you might not know yet. The new album, "Never Close Enough," is off to replication, I think you all are in for a treat this spring. The big cd release show is on April 18, in Logan Utah, at the new theater by fine arts on USU campus....See you there!

Take your seats friends...this is big...yes it is true I am in the studio again for a new album! I love seeing the new songs take shape with the band and I hope you will love it too. I will keep some updates on my Myspace blog (yes, there is a pretty \"Myspace\" link to your right) send good thoughts my way the next few weeks. love it!

Sarah just recieved an honorable mention for her songs entered into the 2006 Rocky Mtn. Folks Fest Songwriter's Showcase, the second year in a row!!!! This year there were almost 900 entries!
